Housing Needs Consultation for Headley Parish    27 September, 2017

Dear Resident,

Many of you will recall that in 2008 the Parish Council undertook a housing needs survey which indicated that there were 14 households in need of accommodation. The most likely areas for new homes were narrowed down to Dobbes Nursery and the Playground area - which has now been improved and therefore no longer available.

The Parish Council has decided the time is right to update the Housing Needs Survey. An updated survey is a pre-requisite for any development of affordable housing on the Church Lane nursery site; progress depends on confirmation of the current level of need and to be sure the mix and the tenure are correct as these homes will be prioritised for local people.

Moreover, the up-to-date information will give the Parish Council better information on which to argue for the most appropriate re-use of Headley Court.

We would be grateful if you could complete the survey by following this link before Friday 13th October. All information will be kept strictly confidential and a full report (de-personalised) will be made available to the parish.

I would like to thank you for your time and cooperation.

David Preedy
Chairman, Headley Parish Council
